Chester also sits almost on the North Wales border, which puts it within reach for cross-border commercial and industrial clients as well as the city itself. From MSR’s works in Bootle, Chester is around 40 to 45 minutes away, down through Wirral or via the M53 — close enough for site visits, surveys and deliveries to run on a normal working day rather than needing an overnight stay. MSR has been fabricating steel since October 1987, set up by three former Seaforth Welding employees and still run by the same family, working out of two factories in Bootle totalling 22,000 sq ft.
